The next BushProof Water & Sanitation for Development & Emergencies training will be held from 18 – 30 January 2010 in Singapore, and will be hosted and co-facilitated by the World Toilet College.

BushProof will be running two training courses in Water & Sanitation for Development and Emergencies during the first half of 2009. The dates and locations are:

Training in Household Biosand Filtration 23-27 June, 2008
Machakos, Kenya

This 13-day training is invaluable to both those interested in starting a career in water and sanitation, as well as those already working for NGOs becoming involved in water programmes, but lacking the necessary technical and theoretical background.

Location of Training: Machakos, Kenya

Safe drinking water is one of the most important issues of development work, especially among low-income families. Biosand filtration is an appropriate and low-cost method for household water treatment, and is proven to reduce diarrhoeal incidence. This introduction course offered by BushProof is intended for those who want to learn about household level biosand filtration as an effective household water treatment.
