Resources on Advocacy and Development

Hi Everyone,

I'm a grad student studying Humanitarian Services Administration, and I'm working on an independant study proposal on the relationship between development and politics. I intend to focus primarily on the relationship between advocacy and the development of foreign policy. Can anyone suggest books, articles, or other resources that would be useful in studying this topic?

Thanks so much for your help!

You might find Abby Stoddard's book, _Humanitarian Alert: NGO Information and Its Impact on US Foreign Policy_ (Kumarian Press, 2006), useful.

I can't recommend a specific book, but the International Campaign to Ban Landlines and the Campaign for the International Criminal Court are well documentated efforts where groups of NGOs have influenced governments very powerfully and creatively.
