Maintaining Your Own Health

Maintaining Your Own Health As an Aid Worker

To be an effective aid workers, you must maintain your physical and mental health. This can be a challenge in the field, particularly in aid and relief work following a natural disaster or a conflict, or in an environment with poor infrastructure and poor sanitation. In addition, few aid agencies have a culture that encourages aid workers to maintain optimal mental and physical health.

The goal of this page is to host information that can help aid, relief and development workers maintain mental and physical health, and address challenges to such.

If you would like to volunteer to contribute to this page's information, please see the AWN volunteer guidelines and follow the directions to express interest.
