Interactive Workshop - Building Resilience Under and Managing Others in High Stress Environments

Tuesday 2nd Febraury 2010

InterHealth is delighted to be hosting an upcoming 1 day workshop, 'Building Resilience Under Pressure and Managing Others in High Stress Environments’ on Tuesday 2nd February. This will be held in partnership with The Management Centre (=mc); the leading training, management and fundraising consultancy for the non-for-profit sector in the UK and worldwide.

Successfully launched in April with a range of INGO and government participants, this interactive and engaging workshop is led by InterHealth’s Psychological Health team, and focuses on managing cumulative stress among staff, working more effectively in high stress environments and maximising resilience in individuals and teams.

The workshop stems from research on staff care and psychological health support in aid agencies. It is a one-day training, suitable for any Emergency Team leaders, Regional Directors, Country Directors or those with direct line management responsibility in fragile/high pressure environments.

"Building resilience is a core area that all humanitarian agencies should be thinking about in order to adequately invest in their workforce's well-being. This course provides a useful overview on some of the core essentials that we should be considering as part of this and provides a framework on which to build a comprehensive programme for all staff."
Kate O’Brien, Save the Children UK Emergencies Team
