Performance and progress of international humanitarian system assessed for the first time

ALNAP's The State of the Humanitarian System report, launched today is The most comprehensive effort to date to assess the overall performance and progress of international humanitarian aid.

The report provides humanitarians in the field with a global picture overview of all aspects of the humanitarian system. In a single resource it offers an assessment of where the sector is and where it goes from here.

Endorsed by senior figures including Sir John Holmes (UN), Angelo Gnaedinger (ICRC) and Paul O'Brien (ICVA) The State of the Humanitarian System report illuminates many aspects of global humanitarian assistance, including how well global needs are covered, co-ordination, efficiency, and accountability to disaster-affected populations.
