Heading to Haiti

I'm trying to go to Haiti this summer. I would love to help out an NGO by producing stories on the lives of those (local population to aid workers) living in the post-disaster environment.

I'm able to produce still images, audio, and multimedia pieces in the field as well as once home from the field. The work can then be used for all types of communication/advocacy packaging for your NGO.

Any interested parties/NGOs can send me an email and I will respond with samples of my work.

The goal is to spend at least two weeks in the country.

In general the major INGOs

In general the major INGOs have both in-house teams of people who work on these kinds of things and relationships with free-lancers or volunteers who work for them. Getting on the list requires getting an impressive portfolio of work in front of their resource development or external communications teams, and in general they are going to want to test you out on a lower profile place before giving an assignment like Haiti.
Not knowing your portfolio, it's hard to know, but if you are building your reputation still it might make sense to make contact with some of the smaller groups and present your work and proposal to them.
