GEN (Grassroots Empowerment Network) is currently developing a rehabilitation village consisting a real estate project of 2000 capacity youth hostel, 120 residential houses, orphanage, a service and administration block, medical rehabilitation, trauma recovery and psychosocial counselling centres, 18 classroom education centre, 9-in-1 vocational training centre, a training and conference centre with guest facilities, sporting and recreational grounds as well as an agritourism and alternative economic development potentials using compressed earth bricks and other energy-efficient and renewable energy sources on a 50 hectares of land in a rural setting for ex-combatants, street, orphaned and other vulnerable children, victims of sexual and gender-based violence, elderly persons etc in the Niger Delta region of Nigeria.
